Welcome to Granbury, Texas
Granbury, Texas is the county seat
of Hood county. It is located on the shore of Lake Granbury
of Highway 377 just 36 miles southwest of Fort Worth. Lake
Granbury was the result of a dam built in 1969 across the
Brazos River at the Decordova Bend.
Granbury is host to many tourist attractions
including it historical square, antique shops, quaint B &
B's, opera house, golfing, fishing, and boating.
Open grasslands and sandy areas characterize
the land along the Brazos River in Hood County. The limestone
hills are covered with natural junipers. Nearby Comanche Peak
is sacred ground to the Comanche Indian and was the scene
of many peace treaties signed with the early settlers.
Granbury is the home of many custom
home communities that include lake front property, golf courses
and marinas. Grand Harbor, Bentwater, Harbor Lakes, Decordova
Bend, Pecan Plantation, Mallard Point, Mountain Lakes, Bluff
Dale, Timbercove, Lantana, Stoney Creek, The Peninsula, and
Scenic View Estates are just a few of these lovely areas in
which to retire or raise families. Will Steed Homes, Inc.

front properties for sale.
